BHO Interiors was engaged by Radiant Lighting to design the very first Fontana Arte showroom in Australia, a prestigious project that required a fresh and innovative approach. The objective was to craft a space that stands out from other lighting showrooms in Perth, creating an immersive and interactive experience for customers. BHO Interiors aimed to design a space where visitors would embark on a journey, discovering the brand’s premium lighting products in a manner that feels both engaging and exclusive.

The heart of the showroom design lies in the central pods, strategically positioned to guide customers through a curated display of Fontana Arte’s iconic lighting range. These pods feature various window openings, allowing visitors to view the products from different perspectives, enhancing the overall experience of the space. This design approach creates a dynamic and exploratory showroom, moving away from traditional static displays, and encouraging customers to interact with and appreciate the lighting in a more meaningful way.

The concept for the showroom, coined as a “Blonde Chic Feel,” serves as a nod to the Italian origins of the brand, particularly focusing on Fontana Arte’s predominantly white product line. To create a contrast that truly allows the lighting to shine, BHO Interiors chose to design the showroom with darker tones. The use of rich timbers, deep colours, and bronze mirrors not only complements the bright lighting fixtures but also establishes a sense of warmth and sophistication. This carefully considered contrast allows the lighting products to become the stars of the showroom, standing out against their elegant backdrop.

Beyond aesthetics, the darker materials and finishes create an intimate atmosphere, inviting customers to linger and explore at their own pace. The play of light against the darker elements adds depth and texture to the space, while the choice of bronze mirrors subtly reflects the glow of the lighting fixtures, enhancing their luminous qualities and contributing to the overall luxurious feel.
