Capitol Corp (now NightOwl Entertainment) is a hospitality and entertainment business that includes the renowned Magnet House, Amplifier Bar and Edison Bar in Perth, The Breakwater Hillary’s, The Newport Hotel Fremantle, The Lookout Bar in Scarborough, Metropolis Fremantle, Arcade and many more new venues in the pipeline.

The design intent was to create a cool and modern office that reflects Capitol Corp‘s identity in the business.

We created a central hub for the office by having a bar as its central feature. Not only does the bar act as the staff tea prep facility, but it also allows informal meetings and encourages Friday drinks.

Adjacent to the right of the bar, a huge black framed sliding door opens up to the boardroom. Having the flexibility of opening up the whole space and closing it for meetings is a huge plus for the client’s business. The boardroom is equipped with high-tech AV and videoconferencing IT systems.

The beautiful black vinyl parquet flooring is a massive plus for the client’s two dogs (who follow them to the office every day). Acoustically rated pendant lights from above the open-plan workstations and offices allow for some sound absorption to the space.

Another key feature of the office is the darts board with the tv screen and lighting around it. This is going to reflect on the new venues that will be opening up very soon.

Some of the furniture brands used for the project include Herman Miller Eames Classic Lounge and Ottoman, Steelcase workstations, Fritz Hansen Pluralis Table and Kartell Masters Bar Stool.
