Squeeze & Grind has long been a local favourite in Mandurah, renowned for serving up the freshest juices, a vibrant bubble tea menu, and what many claim to be the best coffee in town. When the time came to give this bustling refreshment bar a makeover, BHO Interiors jumped at the opportunity to bring a fresh, modern aesthetic to the space while ensuring it stayed true to its lively, community-centric vibe.

The design for Squeeze & Grind focused on maximising the potential of the compact space, while also creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. BHO Interiors employed a striking yet balanced colour palette of black and white, bringing a sense of sleek sophistication to the establishment. This contrast not only creates a visual impact but also enhances the feeling of space, allowing the shop to appear open and welcoming without overwhelming customers.

One of the most exciting new features is the takeaway window, specially designed for busy coffee lovers on the go. The addition of this window provides a convenient and quick way for customers to grab their daily dose of caffeine without having to wait in line inside. Perfectly suited for the fast-paced morning crowd, this new element ensures that Squeeze & Grind stays in sync with the needs of its clientele, keeping service swift and efficient.

To further enhance the feeling of openness and connectivity, bi-fold windows were introduced into the design. These windows create an open-air feel within the café, blurring the line between inside and out. Now, customers can sit comfortably at the counter, sip on their drinks, and take in stunning views of the nearby river. This seamless connection to the outdoors adds a sense of tranquillity to the space, transforming it into more than just a refreshment bar—it becomes a place where patrons can unwind and take a moment to appreciate the scenery while enjoying their drinks.

A particular highlight of the design is the stunning menu board, which doubles as a feature wall. Rather than just serving a functional purpose, the menu board was intentionally designed to be a focal point, drawing the eye with its creative layout and aesthetic appeal. Not only does it display the café’s offerings, but it also adds personality and a unique visual element to the interior. This multi-functional feature demonstrates BHO Interiors’ ability to combine practicality with design, ensuring that every aspect of the space is both beautiful and purposeful.

Beyond the physical makeover, BHO Interiors took the transformation a step further by facilitating a full re-brand for Squeeze & Grind. This included the creation of a sleek and modern new logo, which now represents the café’s fresh, sophisticated image. In addition, BHO Interiors designed new staff uniforms and merchandise, aligning every aspect of the brand with the updated look and feel of the café.

The new branding reflects the essence of Squeeze & Grind: fresh, exciting, and committed to delivering high-quality products in a warm and welcoming environment. The uniforms, designed to be both comfortable and stylish, embody the professional yet approachable nature of the café’s staff. Meanwhile, the merchandise—including coffee cups, reusable juice bottles, and branded apparel—serves not only as a marketing tool but also as a way for loyal customers to take a piece of their favorite café home with them.
