Senso Espresso
Senso Espresso is a modern, contemporary café that is now open at Westfield Carousel, Cannington. As part of Westfield’s new redevelopment which emphasises a one-of-a-kind retail, dining and entertainment destination, Senso Espresso is a brand-new business venture we are privileged to be part of.
From branding to interior design, we worked closely with both Westfield and our clients to ensure that we achieved a holistic picture of their values, aspirations, and concerns before coming up with a concept and suitable design elements.
Part of the design challenge for this café was attempting to find cohesion and coherence in two separate areas – the main café and a dining area at the main concourse. We wanted to emphasise an indoor/outdoor engagement to create an illusion of one cohesive space. Design elements such as different contrasting colours were used and the usage of greenery throughout the space were elements that helped form a cozy environment. The design also made good use of the shopping centre’s tall ceiling to produce an openness and the result is a minimal yet distinctive and welcoming café suited for a variety of patrons to enjoy Senso’s specialty coffee and delicious menu.
