Moka Cafe, nestled in the heart of Mandurah, offers not only delicious food and drinks but also stunning views of the picturesque Mandurah Marina. Located about an hour’s drive from Perth, this cafe has become a popular destination for both locals and visitors seeking a relaxing atmosphere paired with beautiful surroundings. The design of Moka Cafe was heavily inspired by the tranquil waterfront setting, to bring the outside in, creating a seamless connection between the natural beauty of the marina and the cafe’s interior.

The breathtaking view of the marina was the cornerstone of the design concept for Moka Cafe. Our goal was to highlight the openness and vastness of the space by selecting a colour palette that would reflect the calming nature of the waterfront. Light, airy hues such as crisp whites, soft blues, and subtle greens were chosen to evoke a sense of tranquillity and openness, perfectly complementing the serene marina just beyond the café’s windows.

The use of white as the base colour gives the interior a fresh and modern feel, creating a clean canvas that allows the natural light to flood the space, enhancing its sense of spaciousness. Shades of blue, inspired by the gentle waves of the marina, were incorporated to bring a touch of coastal charm, while hints of green were added to reflect the lush greenery that lines the waterfront. Together, these colours form a harmonious palette that mirrors the beauty of the exterior and invites patrons to relax and unwind in a soothing environment.
