BHO Interiors Perth was engaged by AGEM Property Group to spearhead the interior design of their new headquarters office in Balcatta, a significant undertaking situated within a massive development area crafted by AGEM themselves. Recognising the importance of a functional and aesthetically pleasing workspace, BHO Interiors collaborated closely with AGEM to bring their vision to life.
The design process began with a thorough understanding of AGEM’s business model and corporate ethos. As a diversified Western Australian property developer and asset manager, AGEM focuses on identifying valuable assets and implementing strategic processes to enhance and maximise their worth. With this in mind, the design needed to reflect their professionalism, innovation, and commitment to excellence.
The new headquarters spans an impressive 480 square meters across two levels, presenting a unique opportunity to create a dynamic and cohesive office environment. One of the key features of the design was the integration of a modern staircase that connects the two floors seamlessly. This staircase not only serves a functional purpose but also acts as a striking architectural element, adding to the overall visual appeal of the office.
Upon entering the office, visitors are greeted by a thoughtfully designed reception area that establishes an inviting atmosphere. The reception space reflects AGEM’s brand identity, utilizing a colour palette and materials that resonate with its core values. This area is designed to make a strong first impression, providing a welcoming environment for clients and partners alike.
The open-plan work area was another focal point of the design. By prioritising flexibility and collaboration, BHO Interiors created a workspace that encourages communication and teamwork among employees. Thoughtful zoning within the open area allows for both focused work and collaborative activities, striking a balance that is essential for a modern office.
The boardroom and meeting rooms were designed with functionality in mind, featuring state-of-the-art technology and a layout conducive to productive discussions. These spaces are equipped with high-quality furnishings and materials that enhance the professional atmosphere, reflecting AGEM’s commitment to quality and innovation. The design ensures that these rooms are not only aesthetically pleasing but also practical, allowing for seamless meetings and presentations.
In addition to the office space, BHO Interiors also incorporated a warehouse storage area at the back of the premises. This element was essential for AGEM’s operations, ensuring that they had the necessary space for storage while maintaining the overall flow of the office layout. The design effectively integrates this functional space without compromising the aesthetic quality of the headquarters.
Beyond the interior design, BHO Interiors took on the responsibility of providing exterior 3D photorealistic renders for the entire development. This aspect of the project allowed AGEM to showcase their vision to potential clients and stakeholders, illustrating the development’s potential and appeal. The photorealistic renders served as a powerful marketing tool, enhancing AGEM’s ability to communicate their brand and offerings effectively.
Throughout the design process, a strong collaborative relationship developed between BHO Interiors and the clients, Adrian and Gemma. This partnership not only facilitated a successful project but also fostered a genuine friendship that will extend beyond the completion of the design.
